On this day in 2019, a damaging EF-2 tornado with estimated peak wind speeds of 120 miles per hour (mph) tracked north and east of Tahoka, Texas.
The length of this tornado’s path was 17 miles, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Lubbock, TX.
According to the NWS in Lubbock, the width of this tornado’s path was 1.2 miles. Thankfully, no injuries or deaths were reported.
