“On the evening of May 11th, four meteorologists were traveling in Southwestern Minnesota following a day of storm chasing when they stopped to avoid downed powerless on Interstate 90. Unfortunately, their vehicle was struck from behind by a semi-truck as thy stopped. Martha Llanos Rodriguez, a meteorologist from Mexico City and writer from the weather website ‘Meteored’, was killed, while Bradford (Brad) Barrett, a physical scientist from the US, suffered from life-threatening injuries and is currently in critical condition. The other two passengers, Diego Alvaro Campos and Aldo Alberto Viscarra-Avilez, both from Chile, were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
