Tornado History: Onalaska, Texas EF-3 Tornado

On this day in 2020, a deadly EF-3 tornado with estimated peak wind speeds of 140 miles per hour (mph) struck Onalaska, Texas. 

The length of this tornado’s path was just over 30 miles, 32 miles to be exact, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Houston/Galveston, TX.

According to the NWS in Houston/Galveston, the width of this tornado’s path was 1100 yards. Sadly, the tornado killed 3 people and injured 33 people.
