Tornado History: Tushka, Oklahoma EF-3 Tornado

On this day in 2011, a deadly EF-3 tornado struck Tushka, Oklahoma. The estimated peak wind speeds for this tornado are unavailable at this time. 

The length of this tornado’s path was 17 miles, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Norman, Oklahoma. 

According to the NWS in Norman, almost 150 homes and businesses were significantly damaged or destroy. Numerous other buildings sustained minor damage. 

Sadly, the tornado killed 2 people and injured 40 people. The two deaths occurred in a mobile home West of Tushka, OK.

Tushka

33 tornadoes, including the Tushka tornado, occurred on the 14th April and 15th April, 2011 in Oklahoma. Tornadoes touched down during the early hours of the 15th April (find out more here).
