Tornado caught on camera in Gaylord, Michigan (UPDATE)

The footage in the above video was captured by Kenneth Hoy. You can read the description for the Facebook uploaded video below.

According to a tweet posted by Severe Studios, the tornado has caused extensive damage on the northwest side of the MI city. You can read the posted tweet below: 

“Extensive damage on the northwest side of Gaylord, MI. Shipping building gone, cargo containers in the middle of the road. RV’s flipped and destroyed. People trapped in vehicles with some vehicles unrecognisable”

Otsego County scanner – Gaylord area – is very noisy after a damaging tornado moved through. Gas leaks being reported at damaged houses, Hobby Lobby and other businesses sustained heavy damage, injuries being reported.

Update #3: Sadly, multiple casualties are being reported. The following was posted on the Macomb County Police and Fire Scanner Facebook page: 

“Gaylord MI: severe tornado damage. Requesting help from northern Michigan FD’s. Mass casualty incident”

We can confirm via multiple new outlets that the tornado killed 1 person and injured over 40 people.
